Lakewood is a neighborhood in East Dallas, which is close to White Rock Lake. The neighborhood is a place known for world-class restaurants, historical landmarks, much like House Cafe of Dixie and shopping avenues.

Near Lakewood, there are present a number of old-fashioned communities that were built during 1950 to 2000. These include Park Estates, Caruth Terrace, Wilshire Heights, Lakewood Heights and Gated Cloisters. Generally, people group them under one umbrella term Lakewood, East Dallas or M Streets of which the latter two are overlapping regions in the east and Swiss Avenue can be located in the area towards the downtown.


Lakewood also hosts the Lakewood Theater which is well renowned for its Musical Events, Classic Movies, Botanical Garden, Arboretum and Comedy Events.
